    Right on!

Even gender-neutral self-defense instruction focuses on making potential victims able to hurt an attacker.

In our society, violence is a hallmark of “male,” and submission is the role of the “female.” It’s a yin-yang of deploying power through physical control (of others, of oneself).

How can we teach all of us not to rely on violence? How can we provide an alternative the recognition and thrill which the attackers seek?
